Creamy Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

What ingredients do you need to make Creamy Italian Sausage and Potato Soup?

  • 1lb Ground Italian Sausage
    • 1/2c Bacon, chopped
    • 1 small Onion, diced
    • 1tsp Minced Garlic
    • 3-4 Russet Potatoes, diced
    • 1tsp Salt
    • 1tsp Pepper
    • 1tso Dried Oregano
    • 1tsp Dried Thyme
    • 64oz Chicken Broth
    • 1c Heavy Cream
    • 2c Kale

    How to make Creamy Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

    • In a large pot, over medium heat, begin to cook your Italian sausage and onions.
    • Once your onions are translucent, stir in  your garlic and bacon.
    • Once sausage is cooked, drain excess oil. 
    • Add your potatoes and seasonings to the pot and mix with your cooked Italian sausage.
    • Pour chicken stock into the pot, along with heavy cream.
    • Stir until everything is completely combined.
    • Bring pot to a simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    • Add kale to the pot about 10 minutes before serving.
    • Garnish each serving with parmesan or cheese of choice.
