How to make Sausage Breakfast

When it comes to this breakfast bowl, its more about adding to the bowl what you enjoy, rather than sticking with particular portion sizes. Just make sure when you do make your bowls, start with preparing all of your ingredients first, except for the fried egg.

  • I like to prepare the grits first. Remember to mix in your desired amount of pepper jack cheese, butter, salt and pepper. While that is cooking, I quickly sauté my bell peppers.
  • After the bell peppers are complete, you can cook your Jones Dairy Farm Golden Brown All Natural Pork Sausage.
  • The good thing about this sausage is that you can cook it either on the stovetop or in the microwave. Either way makes them taste great, but since I already have the skillet out for the bell peppers and eggs, then I like to cook my sausage in the skillet as well.
  • Assemble your bowl by adding the grits first, then topping your grits with your desired amount of sautéed bell peppers and sausage links.
  • Quickly fry or scramble an egg and add to the top of everything in your bowl.
