Looking for a quick one skillet meal to help you out this week? Look no further, I got you covered. My Shrimp and Sausage Creole is my favorite go-to recipe during our busy weeknights. This simplified Shrimp and Sausage Creole gives you a little spice and sweetness, coupled with the flavors of the Holy Trinity (onions, celery, and green peppers), everything that reminds me of New Orleans.

I started making this dish when I was a young hip bachelorette with little to no time to cook a 3 hour meal. I would prepare a large batch and freeze it for a simple go-to for lunch or dinner throughout the week. Try this Shrimp and Sausage Creole as a meal with rice, or possibly my recommendation in the tips section below. Also in the tip section is a method to making a less spicier version. Hope you enjoy!

Tips
- Note that this dish is spicy. For a less spicer version, you can add the pepper and creole seasoning by teaspoon increments. Before adding the shrimp, you can taste the sauce to see if it fits your palette.
- Try this dish over toast and add cheddar cheese to the top before warming. That’s my preferred method ?
