baked hot cheesy brussel sprout and bacon dip

January 4, 2021 appetizers, Entertainment, Food + Recipes, Snacks, Uncategorized

My husband and I absolutely love my Baked Hot Cheesy Brussel Sprout and Bacon Dip! It is the perfect appetizer for a weeknight dinner or a new go-to cheesy snack that you can munch on while watching football or basket ball on game day. You want to add this recipe to your list of different ways to eat brussel sprouts. Trust me, you will be thankful.

If you’ve been around for a while, then you know that I am a HUGE fan of brussel sprouts on game day. Check out how I made a DIY Brussel Sprouts Bar Game Day on HLN. Brussel Sprouts are great to have because they’re one of those vegetables that a lot of people are just now discovering that they love. I truly believe it’s because they’ve become so mainstream in restaurants. I love the fact that they are so versatile and you can pair them with so many different flavor combinations.

What ingredients do you need to make Brussel Sprout and Bacon Dip

  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Bacon
  • Monterey Jack Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Minced Garlic
  • Onion Powder
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive Oil

How to make baked hot cheesy brussel sprout and bacon dip

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Clean Brussel Sprouts, cut ends off and cut in half. Place in a bowl.
  3. Toss brussel sprouts with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Flip Brussel sprouts and bake for an additional 10 minutes. (Be sure not to burn your bacon. If bacon is crisp, remove them from the pan and continue to bake the Brussel sprouts.)
  6. While that is baking, in a separate bowl mix mayonnaise, greek yogurt, 1/2 of jack cheese, parmesan, garlic, and remaining spices.
  7. Once Brussel sprouts and bacon are done baking, take out of the oven and cool.
  8. Chop bacon and cut brussel sprouts into quarters.
  9. Mix all ingredients and pour into an au gratin dish or an 8×8 baking dish.
  10. Top with remaining Jack Cheese.
  11. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees, or until cheese has melted.
  12. Serve while hot with sliced bread or tortilla chips.

In my stories I shared that it started off pretty rocky😩 but thankfully a little antique shopping for Foodtography props, got me back into good spirits. Anywho, I saw some gorgeous heirloom tomatoes at the grocery store this morning, so it got me in the mood for my Mediterranean Couscous Stuffed Tomatoes with Feta and Artichokes. It’s savory and tangy, with a filling that is delish with or without the tomatoes😋 Find this easy recipe at the link in my bio.

Anywho, I got my feels, and I’m back in my yoga pants for the rest of the weekend🤣 Look, I’m all about comfort over anything else🤷🏾‍♀️💖Have a great weekend everyone, and I hope you can cozy up in a great pair of yoga pants too😘

Midweek check-in: how’s everyone doing? I think Midweek check-in: how’s everyone doing? I think one thing that’s consistent for almost everyone, is that most of us are experiencing some pretty cold weather here in the US. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has lost their gas and electricity recently. Please stay bundled up with lots of layers, if possible. We’ll be doing the same over here, and if I can gather up the energy, I’ll be getting cozy with a hot cup of cocoa or tea.

Happy Valentines Day from The Daniels Crew💖💙 Happy Valentines Day from The Daniels Crew💖💙❤️ We started celebrating early with funny and intense stories over Valentines cake for the kids, that I showed in my stories yesterday. A lot of you asked who made the cake, and it was from the talented @justnotthecakes. (FYI, you’re viewing the very first Daniels Party of 5 photo. You guys didn’t warn me that it’s nearly impossible to get all 3 kids in the photo at once. Let alone have them all looking into the camera. Finally, we got one good shot together🥰 but the rest had to be apart🤷🏾‍♀️ I’m hoping it gets better with age?😩)
Confession: I think I enjoy celebrating Valentines Confession: I think I enjoy celebrating Valentines this year more than I did Christmas. I don’t know, maybe it’s because the kids have really been into Valentines this year. Or, it could be the fact that I felt the need to make it super special since it’s yet another holiday during a pandemic🤷🏾‍♀️ Either way, it was nice to decorate this year and have daily goodies for the kids and the hubs😉 Swipe through to see how I easily got our Valentines decor together.

Do you guys enjoy seeing entertaining decor content from me? If so, I’ll start to make it more detailed so that you can do it at home too💖
Is it Friday yet? I need it to come 👏🏾on 👏🏾now👏🏾I didn’t feel like making anything fancy tonight, so I threw together my One Pot Margherita Pasta. I just appreciate that everyone in the house actually eats this dish. Find the recipe at the link in my bio and save for later. (Excuse Ivey’s Grrrr🦖 at the end of the last clip🤦🏾‍♀️🤣)

What are you planning on doing for Valentines or Galentines Day, if anything? Has all the inspiration encouraged or discouraged you to do anything? Since the last year hasn’t allowed us to venture like we’re used to, we are definitely doing something special for the kiddos and then having a little getaway celebration of our own.
