DIY Coffee Filter Flowers

March 31, 2020 DIY & Hacks, Uncategorized

It’s so crazy to me how you can exhaust all of your imagination by just hanging out in your kitchen. These DIY Coffee Filter Flowers are another example of how you can create something beautiful that’s not food with items that are probably already in your kitchen cupboard. And while these look extremely intricate and time consuming to make. I can promise you that they are actually the complete opposite.

Creating ombre color on coffee filter

  • Add food coloring to water and sit to the side.
  • Place coffee filters in a stack.
  • Fold them in half 2 times.
  • Dip the pointy end of the folded stack into the cup of food coloring half way.
  • Open up the folded stack & allow to dry. (Use a hairdryer on low to speed up the process)
  • Once completely dried, refold the stack of coffee filter.
  • Cut out 3 petal shapes from the top of the folded stack.
  • Open up the stack & place the skewer directly through the center of the stack.
  • Carefully fold each filter up to cover the skewer.
  • Gently add glue to each filter so that it lightly attaches to the filter above it.

You will see that a flower has formed.
